This past Saturday was a day our family will cherish forever as we celebrated our sweet grandson Zeke’s very first birthday! We gathered at the beautiful Enchanted Island Amusement Park, the perfect spot for a day full of joy, laughter, and memories we’ll treasure forever.
The theme for the party couldn’t have been more perfect — football! Every detail captured the spirit of the day. One of the cutest touches was the cotton candy stand, where the bags proudly read “Zeke’s First Down” — a playful and absolutely adorable nod to his big milestone.
Family and friends came together, many decked out in jerseys and football-themed outfits, ready to cheer on our little MVP. The little ones had a blast enjoying the rides and games while the adults shared stories, snapped pictures, and took in all the special moments.
One of the proudest parts of the day for us was reflecting on the incredible job our daughter is doing as a single mom. Watching her raise Zeke with so much love, strength, and grace fills our hearts with immeasurable pride. She has truly created a beautiful life for him, and it showed in every detail of the celebration.
We are also so very grateful for everyone who helped put it all together — from getting everything there and set up to these very pictures (thanks Erik), and every thoughtful touch in between. It truly took a village, and our hearts are full knowing how much love surrounds Zeke.
There’s something magical about a first birthday. It’s not just about the cake and presents (though Zeke’s football themed cupcakes were a big hit!) — it’s about pausing to appreciate how much joy, growth, and love the past year has brought. Seeing Zeke’s bright smile and hearing his sweet laughter was the greatest gift of all.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our precious boy. We can’t wait to watch him continue to grow, learn, and score many more “first downs” in the years to come.
