We had the absolute joy of celebrating the upcoming arrival of our first granddaughter—our second grandchild and our son’s first baby! Hosted by our son’s girlfriend’s parents at their beautiful home, the baby shower was a wonderful day filled with love, laughter, and excitement as we prepared to welcome this little princess into the world.
A Whimsical Winnie the Pooh Theme
The setting was straight out of a storybook, with a charming Winnie the Pooh theme in soft pastels of pink and yellow. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, from honey pot centerpieces to delicate floral arrangements and adorable Pooh-themed decorations. A beautiful “Welcome Baby” banner set the stage for a celebration full of warmth and joy.
A Day of Fun & Laughter
Surrounded by family and friends, we spent the day enjoying each other’s company and celebrating the parents-to-be. One of the highlights of the shower was the exciting baby games that had everyone laughing and competing for fun prizes!
🎀 Orbeez & Babies Game – This one was an absolute hit! Blindfolded players had 60 seconds to dig through a tub of Orbeez to find and grab as many tiny baby figurines as possible. It was hilarious and surprisingly tricky!
🎀 The Dirty Diaper Game – Laughter filled the room as guests sniffed, poked, and examined “dirty” diapers to guess what mysterious (and often surprising) items were inside. Some of the “messes” were chocolate, peanut butter, or other funny food combinations!
🎀 The Clothes Pin Game – A classic! Each guest started with a clothespin, and if someone caught you saying the word “baby,” they could steal your pin! The person with the most pins at the end won a prize—making for a sneaky and competitive game throughout the party.
🎀 Mini Pacifier Scavenger Hunt – Tiny pacifiers were hidden around the venue, and guests had to hunt them down. Some were easy to spot, while others were cleverly tucked away, making it an exciting challenge!
Showered with Love & Gifts
The parents-to-be were overwhelmed with love and generosity, receiving so many wonderful gifts, from adorable baby clothes to essential baby gear and, of course, tons of diapers! Each present was given with so much thought and care, ensuring that this sweet little girl will be welcomed into the world with everything she needs.
A Heartfelt Celebration of Family & New Beginnings
This baby shower was a beautiful testament to the love and support surrounding our growing family. Watching our son prepare for fatherhood has been such a joy, and we know that he and his girlfriend are going to be incredible parents.
Now, as we count down the days until we meet our precious granddaughter, our hearts are full of excitement and love. She is already so cherished, and we can’t wait to welcome her into our family!
